Getting Intimate with Violence - No fee*, group presentation. 3 Hour Duration

A condensed version of the Defensive Intelligence module of the S.A.R. program listed below, this presentation is designed to provide an understanding of the neurological, physiological and psychological aspects of the violent mind and the psychological tactics violent and predatory individuals employ to diffuse your own mental warning system.  It also teaches the physiological dynamics of a violent encounter to understand the bodily extremes and limitations you and your attacker will be subjected to during the attack and methods to lessen their effect on your ability to think your way out of a situation.  this presentation was designed following an attempted sexual assault on my teen-age daughter and is geared to help women of all ages be more prepared to understand and handle a situation of violent or sexual aggression.

*The no fee status of this presentation is for the NW Ohio area only.  I do accept and appreciate donations for the no fee appearances but require a fee for expenses for presentations requiring extended travel and/or overnight lodging.

The Ohio Concealed Carry Training Course - $100 per person or $150 per couple.  14 Hours Duration

Exceeds the requirements of OHIO R.C. 2923.125 divisions (G)(1) and (G)(2). Class is presented over a day and a half because handling a weapon after 10+ hours of classroom time is a little taxing on your state of mind and not in the interests of safety for all involved.

Day 1: 11 hours of classroom and written examination.

Day 2: 3 hours of live-fire range time and practical examination.

The fee includes all class materials and training book, range fee, targets, the use of loaner pistols for the live fire portion if needed, and lunch with coffee / iced tea / bottled water (or bring your own lunch and store in our fridge) Does not include ammunition. Available State-wide.

*This course also includes discussion from the Defensive Intelligence Module (described in the S.A.R. Program course description below) in addition to the minimum course requirements set forth in Ohio R.C 2923.125 divisions (G)(1) and (G)(2). The State required course only covers the various components of the different types of firearms and how to handle and shoot them safely (in a target practice scenario) along with an introduction to the legal issues associated with carrying and the use of lethal force for self defense. It does not cover the use of a firearm in an actual armed confrontation scenario,  nor does it teach the necessary mental or practical knowledge and skills to successfully recognize, prevent or counter a violent attack with or without a firearm.  This is why I developed the S.A.R. Program for those wanting to invest in protecting their future, not just ensuring financial protection of their surviving family with insurance.

S.A.R Program ™

CLICK HERE for the S.A.R. Program full course description.

The S.A.R. program is an in-depth training experience for the family or individual to counter a home invasion or violent attack.  If taken as a family it includes the Ohio Concealed Carry Training course, which is also valid for the West Virginia concealed carry training requirement, as well as the rest of the curriculum described when you click the link above. This course curriculum covers the self defense continuum from understanding the violent mindset to unarmed and armed defensive tactics and in-the-home tactical training, tailored to your house's floor plan, for you and your family to safely execute an armed retraction  into a designated "safe-room" until help can arrive.  (We call it a "safety drill" and is compared to a fire drill when presented to children)
